🇩🇪 Düsseldorf: The City of Sin — No One Leaves Hungry!

Every time I visit Düsseldorf, I turn into a hungry wolf 🐺—I want to eat EVERYTHING in sight. This time I stayed for three days and had FIFTEEN meals… 😂 Thankfully, I did my research and mostly avoided disappointments—but a few dishes from these spots truly stood out and deserve a shoutout (in no particular order): 1️⃣ Gogi – Wagyu Set 🥩 Not as melt-in-the-mouth as the one in Kobe, but way better than many BBQ places back home. And for just €59? Unbeatable value! Don’t overcook it 👌. Their Bulgogi Bibimbap is also great—mild spicy sauce. Pro tip: Go for lunch sets (not available weekends/holidays). 2️⃣ Zero Banchi – Unagi Don 🐟 Not charcoal-grilled live eel, but still tender and flavorful. A whole eel over rice for only €24.90? Generous portion—I had leftovers! 🍱 3️⃣ Tonkatsu GONTA by Café Relax – Rosu Katsu Curry 🍛 Super crispy outside, juicy inside. The curry is mild and slightly sweet—kids loved it! Best to come at 12 PM to avoid dinner queues (waited 1 hour in the cold ❄️). 4️⃣ ONEONE11 Café & Bakery – Pork Floss & Red Bean Toast 🍞 This place has principles—only open 3 days a week! Don’t go too early 🕛. Around noon, the baker slowly brings out freshly baked goodies. This toast was fluffy, warm, and perfectly balanced between sweet and salty. Cloud-like! ☁️✨ 5️⃣ China BBQ Bruder – Breakfast 🇨🇳 Didn’t try their BBQ, but their breakfast is honest and delicious! Tofu pudding, congee, fried dough sticks, scallion pancakes—all €2 each and made fresh! A full table of food for €15. Sadly, breakfast is only from 10:30–15:00 🕥. 6️⃣ Tang Wang – Sheng Jian Bao (Pan-Fried Buns) 🥟 Ordered these late-night via delivery—still hot and crispy! Juicy, flavorful filling. €14 for 10 pieces? Düsseldorf’s Chinese community eats well! 😭👏 7️⃣ 0731 Chuan Skewers – Fried Skewers 🌶️ Their chili powder is NO JOKE—super spicy! Must-tries: fried tofu, cauliflower, mantou, enoki mushrooms in foil. Looks simple but packed with flavor. The lively atmosphere will make you feel like you’re back in China 🍢🌙. Perfect for late-night cravings!
