🇩🇪 Eibsee + Munich One-Day Trip
I had one extra day in Munich and after comparing various nearby options, I chose Eibsee. Due to time and budget constraints, I skipped Zugspitze (oh well, I’ll make up for it in Switzerland someday 😌). Here’s my one-day itinerary: 1️⃣ Luggage Storage at the Train Station L-sized locker: 3€ for 6h, 6€ for 24h 💰 2️⃣ Train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen 🚞 9:32 - 10:55: Took RB6 3️⃣ Bus 9840 to Eibsee 🚌 Caught the 12:14 bus (departs hourly at :14) Due to traffic, arrived at 13:15 (scheduled: 12:55) ✅ Pro Tip: If the train isn’t delayed, walk straight to Rathaus (the stop before) to catch the bus. Otherwise, try your luck at the train station—some express buses stop there! 4️⃣ Boating at Eibsee 🚣♂️ Followed the crowd to 📍Bootverleih (boat rental) Rowed a 4-person boat (14€/h) ⚠️ Note: They close at 15:30—don’t miss it! 5️⃣ Hiking ❌ Didn’t have time 😅 6️⃣ Return to Munich 15:10 - 15:28: Bus back to Garmisch 16:05 - 17:19: Train to Munich Pasing → S-Bahn to the city center 7️⃣ 1-Hour Munich City Walk 🚶♀️⏳ 📍 Marienplatz (Square) + 📍 Neues Rathaus (Town Hall) – Right outside S-Bahn! ⭐ Gorgeous! 📍 St. Peter (Church) 📍 Juliet Capulet Statue 📍 Heilig Geist (Church) 📍 Viktualienmarkt (Food Market) – Already closing when I arrived 🏃♀️ 📍 Asamkirche (Dark-themed Church) ⭐ Stunning! 📍 St. Michael (Church) 📍 Frauenkirche (Munich Cathedral) 📍 Theatine Church 📍 Munich Residenz – No time to enter, just a quick pic 📸 All these spots are super close—finished the walk in exactly 1 hour! (Avg. 1 min per church ⛪😂) #Munich #MunichTravel #Eibsee ✨
