🇩🇪 First Impressions of Frankfurt✨
Perhaps it’s been too long since I’ve seen modern skyscrapers, but the moment I arrived, I was like, “Oh, this is amazing!” ☀️ The sunshine definitely helped—my mood instantly brightened. (After all, Berlin’s weather is so gloomy, always overcast. 😑) My friend and I went to a sushi restaurant in a mall on the ground floor. As soon as we entered, we just sat down ourselves—no waiting for a hostess to confirm our party size and seat us, which is the norm in Berlin. Wait, we can just… sit down like that? 😳 Plus, I rarely see such a trendy Japanese restaurant. 🍣✨ Walking around the tourist/business districts, I noticed a high concentration of Asians, and English is widely spoken. At a random café ☕️, almost everyone around me was speaking English. I didn’t see many homeless people or particularly dirty streets either. Overall, the city felt spacious and clean. 🌆 The only downside?✨ The attractions were few and kinda boring… Maybe I’ve seen too many similar buildings, but nothing really wowed me. 🏛️😐 I slept in until noon today and wondered if I’d have enough time to sightsee in the afternoon. Turns out, I overthought it—the sights were done in a flash, leaving me with two extra hours to kill at a café, recharging. 🔋 Maybe it’s because it’s Sunday and many shops were closed, otherwise I could’ve strolled around the shopping streets (though that’s also kinda boring—I’m not much of a shopper). Ended up feeling a bit empty, like I didn’t really experience much. 🛍️😕 #WeekendWanderings #FrankfurtTravel #FrankfurtGermany #GermanyTravel #Berlin ✨✨✨
