🇩🇪 Frankfurt’s #1 South American Restaurant 5 Years Running
We visited the super popular Peruvian spot La Cevi for New Year’s 🎆 – and it did not disappoint! Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood near the German National Museum, this place is a hidden gem 🏠. 🍚 What we tried: Grilled Octopus Tentacles (Pulpo) with cold mashed potatoes and olive sauce 🐙✨ (Even if you don’t usually like olives – this sauce is a game-changer!) Crispy Banana Chips with avocado dip + cheese sauce 🍌 (Surprisingly salty and crunchy – so good!) Beef with Rice 🐄🍚 & Beef with Pasta 🍝 (Very “Chinese-friendly” flavors – comforting and tasty!) Chicken Breast with Mashed Potatoes & Rice 🥔 (Tender, slow-cooked, and full of flavor!) 🍮 Desserts: Both looked amazing, but we went with the Passion Fruit Mousse 🍊🍫 It’s freshly made, served with ice cream, fruit, and biscuit crumbs – perfect for sharing! A must-order 😋 🍸 Drinks: Pisco Blueberry Tonic 🫐: Sweet, tangy, and highly recommended! Chicha Morada (non-alcoholic): Made from purple corn – tastes like a slightly tart Kinderpunsch Their cocktails are strong 💪 – you can ask to adjust the alcohol level 📌 Tips: Book in advance – it gets packed on weekends! The owner is super friendly and mentioned they often have Chinese guests – so you know it’s good 👌 🇵🇪 Definitely worth a visit! #FrankfurtEats #PeruvianFood #FoodReview #GermanFoodie #HiddenGem #WhatToEatToday
