๐ฉ๐ช Leipzig in One Day ! ๐ฅน๐ถ
I recently visited Germany on a crisp autumn day ๐, and because of my love for Bach, I made a special trip from Berlin to Leipzig. Although the city was destroyed during the wars, it has been carefully restored to retain its historic charm, radiating an elegant, distinctly German atmosphere. If you have just one day to explore, hereโs a perfect city walk route ๐: ๐ St. Thomas Church In 1723, Bach became the choir director here. During his time in Leipzig, he composed nearly 300 sacred cantatas โ reaching the peak of his creative life! Walking through the church, stepping on the same paths as the "Father of Western Music," you can almost hear the melodies of his cello suites. Attending an organ concert here feels like traveling back three centuries. ๐ตโจ ๐ Bach Museum Located next to the church, this museum offers a glimpse into Bachโs daily life in Leipzig. Donโt miss the museumโs backyard garden โ filled with beautiful pink roses. ๐ Bach spent 27 years here until his death in 1750. ๐ Old Town Hall Now a museum, it houses artworks, documents, and artifacts related to Leipzigโs history and culture. ๐๏ธ ๐ Leipzig University The second oldest university in Germany. Its church and library are especially worth a detailed visit. ๐ ๐ Mendelssohn House Mendelssohn, best known for his "Wedding March," once lived here. The house occasionally hosts classical concerts. ๐ป ๐ Schumann House A bit off the beaten path, but a must-visit for classical music lovers! It preserves letters, books, and documents belonging to Robert Schumann and his wife Clara. ๐ Leipzig is a city where music lives in every corner โ a truly unforgettable experience for the soul. #Germany #Leipzig #VisitLeipzig #LeipzigTravel #TravelGermany ๐ฉ๐ชโค๏ธ
