🇩🇪 Leipzig One-Day Itinerary 🚶✨

Start your day at Leipzig Central Station – a sleek, industrial-minimalist hub 🚉🏗️. Just a 5-minute walk away, head to Sächsische Aufbaubank (Gerberstraße 5) to spot those Insta-famous "industrial mushrooms" 🍄📸 (see Fig. 1!). They make a fun and quirky photo spot. From there, it’s a 10-minute stroll to Markt – the bustling heart of the city with shops and cafes ☕🛍️. Don’t miss the City History Museum (Stadtgeschichtliches Museum) right on the square (Markt 1). A short 3-minute walk brings you to St. Thomas Church (Thomaskirche) ⛪. Bach once directed the choir here and is buried inside. I was lucky to catch a live organ performance – totally atmospheric! 🎶 Right across from the church is the Bach Museum 🎼. Adult tickets are €10, and free audio guides in Chinese and English are available. Baroque music lovers, you’re in for a treat! Wrap up your cultural tour at Leipzig University’s Bibliotheca Albertina 📚 – the historic reading room is open to the public and utterly majestic. For dinner, I recommend Kartoffelhaus No 1 🥔😋 – literally "Potato House No. 1". Authentic German comfort food with delicious potato dishes! A main course is around €12. A compact, culture-packed day in Leipzig – perfect for history, music, and potato lovers! 🎉🥔 #Leipzig #VisitLeipzig #EuropeTravel #Germany #TravelGermany 🇩🇪✈️
