🇩🇪 Munich One-Day Itinerary | Local Experience + Route Guide
☕️ Munich—a city full of history and energy! Sharing my one-day route and tips here. 🍞 Viktualienmarkt (Opens at 8:00) I started walking from Munich Central Station (HBF) at 7 AM. Normally it takes about 20 minutes, but I strolled around a bit and arrived at 8. Only a few stalls were open—recommend going around 9:00! 🕘 Lots of local delicacies here. Got a freshly baked bread 🥖 and rich coffee ☕—super comforting! ⛪ St. Peter’s Church (Opens at 9:00) Just a 2-minute walk from the market. Free entry to the church, but climbing the tower for a panoramic view costs €3-5. I skipped the tower and spent about 10 mins inside. Highly recommend going up for the view though! 🌆 🔔 Marienplatz (New Town Hall Glockenspiel) 1-minute walk from the church. Arrived just in time for the 11:00 clock tower⏳. Very crowded—suggest securing a good spot early! 📷 🏰 Munich Residence + Treasury (10:00-17:00) 5-minute walk to the palace. Bought a combo ticket for €13 (main hall + treasury). Planned for 3 hours, but finished in 2. A bit tired but worth it! ⛪ Asamkirche (9:00-17:00) Originally planned to go to the beer hall first, but since I was ahead of schedule, I visited this stunning Baroque church. Small but glittering and impressive! ✨ 🍻 Hofbräuhaus (11:00-00:00) Lively atmosphere with both tourists and locals enjoying beer and German music 🎶. Ordered a dark beer 🍺 + classic pork knuckle 🍖—huge portion! 🌇 Isar River Bridge (Sunset Spot) After eating, took a break at the hotel and walked 30 mins to the bridge along the Isar River. Caught a beautiful sunset 🌅. 📌 Tips: ✅ Visit the market around 9:00—not too early! ✅ Secure a good spot early for the Glockenspiel show. ✅ Allow 3 hours for the Munich Residence + Treasury. ✅ Hofbräuhaus gets crowded—lunchtime is easier to get a seat. 🌟 Munich perfectly blends history and modernity. This one-day trip was full but not exhausting—highly recommended for culture and food lovers! ❤️ Which spot would you visit first? Or do you have any recommendations from your trip to Munich?
