🇩🇪 The Best Italian Food in Cologne 🍝✨
During three incredibly busy days in Cologne, I managed to enjoy two meals at what I consider the best Italian restaurants not just in the city, but in all of Germany! 🇮🇹❤️ I visit every time I’m in Cologne — and it’s always fully booked. Honestly, these two restaurants run by a father and his son offer an unforgettable culinary experience in Germany’s often bleak food landscape 🏜️😋. Father’s Restaurant 👨🍳 Handwritten menu changes monthly — charmingly presented on a movable board 🧾✨. Even the dessert menu is special. Their black truffle pasta is legendary 🖤🍝. Made fresh tableside — al dente perfection, intense truffle aroma. If you ask for “more more,” the waiter might joke, “Ok, I pay for you!” The filet cooked medium is flawless — everyone at the table praised it 🥩👌. Finish with lemon sorbet 🍋 or tiramisu — a perfect ending 🍮. Prices are reasonable, and it’s even better than some authentic spots in Italy! Son’s Restaurant 👦🍴 (Good, but not quite as great as dad’s) Appetizers are actually better here! Salmon tartare, beef carpaccio, and octopus are all delicious 🐙🥩. pasta isn’t prepared tableside — less drama, less fun 😔. The beef main course isn’t as good (though it’s a few euros cheaper — but who cares?). Liver dishes are a specialty, but the taste isn’t for everyone 🐄. Portions are huge though! Lemon sorbet here might be better and prettier 🍧😍. Slightly cheaper overall — unless you order wine 🍷. A must-try for any food lover in Cologne! Reservations highly recommended — it’s always packed 🎉📅. #Cologne #TravelCologne #CologneFood #ItalianInGermany #FoodieHeaven #BestEats
