I was SO anxious before this solo trip—scant guides + safety concerns 😨—but turns out Ethiopia’s capital is modern, safe, and full of kind locals! Sharing my finds to ease fellow travelers’ worries 🥹 (For visa/SIM/currency, see my previous post!) 🏡 Accommodation Lotus Building | 22 | Hayahulet 🌿 Clean, bedbug-free, with hot water (showerhead could be better). 850 ETB (¥42) single / 1,400 ETB (¥70) double. 📱 WhatsApp: +1 (571) 217-3862 (Google # doesn’t work). 🚗 Transport Ride App: Reliable but pricier (~300 ETB for 5-7km). Yango: Cheaper but fewer drivers (more cancellations). � Food & Drinks 1️⃣ Seble Fish Restaurant 🐟🔥 Crispy grilled fish, tender meat dishes—¥20/person! Ate here daily! 📍 Google Maps: "Seble fish and restaurant" 2️⃣ Tobiya Tej 🍯 Local honey wine—600 ETB/L, 300 ETB/half-L. 3️⃣ Tomoca Coffee ☕ Rich & aromatic (85 ETB). Skip Akkoo Coffee—overpriced & bland! 💆 SPA Alert! Rotana Spa (6min walk from Seble Fish) Swedish massage: 1,400 ETB/hr (🌟 SEA massage-certified!). Foot massage: 600 ETB/30min. So good we cried about leaving! 💉 Yellow Fever Vaccine Black Lion Hospital: 22 ETB (yes, ¥1!). Just bring your passport—super smooth! 🛍️ Shopping Sholla Market 🛒 Local prices > touristy Hamer Bazaar.
