🇪🇹 Can’t Handle Ethiopian Food? Here’s What to Eat in Addis! 😋

Since I struggled with traditional Injera (sorry, sour "rag bread" fans 🫢), my local foodie friend saved me with these delicious alternatives! 🍛 1. Sheraton’s Indian Food 🔥 Must-try: Deep-fried paneer in a mysterious red sauce—addictively good! 🍔 2. Sishu | Kera ሲሹ | ቄራ 🧀 Butter Burger – Juicy beef + melted cheese = cheat meal worth it! 🍕 3. Mokodo Pizza 🇮🇹 Leftover from Italy’s failed colonization, but their pizza wins! 🌶️ Star of the show: A spicy green dipping sauce—unique & addictive! (Skip the pho, but tofu skewers are decent.) 🍖 4. Homemade Lamb Feast 👨‍🍳 Friend’s farewell dinner: Stir-fried lamb + lamb biryani + (yes, even Injera). Perfect end to 12 days in Ethiopia! 🤤 🪕 5. Yod Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant 🇪🇹 For a "safe" traditional experience: Giant platter with Injera + raw beef (Kitfo). Live music & dance—locals will pull you up to join! 💃 Ends with popcorn + coffee ceremony ☕🍿. 🌃 6. Marcus Addis Sky Bar 🍸 Drinks with a view (49th floor!). 💸 Pricey, but the stark rich-poor contrast at night is surreal. 🥢 7. DA TANG CHINESE RESTAURANT ⚠️ Avoid dumplings (thick skin + weird pork taste). 🐔 Kung Pao Chicken = okay-ish emergency Chinese fix. 🍝 8. Sheraton’s Italian (Meh) 🇮🇹 Lasagna = decent, but pesto & salmon disappoint. 🥦 Roasted veggies stole the show! Final Verdict 🏆 Addis has hidden gems beyond Injera! Burger > pizza > Indian > lamb feast saved my stomach. #AddisAbabaEats #EthiopiaFood #AfricanCuisine #TravelFoodie #NoMoreInjera #FoodieFinds 🌍
