🇫🇷 A Brief Summer in Provence
· Travel Destinations: Gordes (Stone Town): Walking around Gordes, I even heard someone playing the piano and singing opera—it felt like being in a movie. On Google Map, it's located at Town View Point Gordes, and there are a few parking spots nearby. 🏰 Valensole: We stumbled upon a lavender field while driving and parked at a nearby lot. There was a small shop next to it selling a range of lavender products. 🌿 Fontaine-de-Vaucluse (Fountain Town): The water is incredibly clear, with lots of aquatic plants. The entire stream and ponds are a lush green, which is very soothing to the eyes. 🌊 Roussillon (Red Clay Town): The town is quite small and can be explored within an hour. 🌄 · Transportation: We rented a car from Sixt's official website. It's more expensive for those under 25, so remember to get full insurance. We picked up the car at Marseille Airport and returned it at Marseille Train Station. 🚗 · Accommodation: We chose a homestay to briefly experience life in South France. We stayed at an Airbnb hosted by a French grandmother. She has a beautiful courtyard with flowers, trees, and even a pool. The homestay was truly wonderful, and we could feel her sincerity and love for life. Every morning, she prepared a delicate breakfast for us. The juice was freshly squeezed, including grape and apricot juice, and the grapes were from her own garden—so good for a juice lover like me! 😍 The breakfast also included homemade yogurt, with fruit diced and ready to be added on top. There were also coffee, croissants, pastries, nuts, and scrambled eggs. It was a very healthy and delicious start to the day! The grandmother would also give us tips on where to visit nearby and recommend local restaurants. The room was cozy, clean, and tidy. She was also very environmentally conscious, reminding us to turn off the air conditioning and lights when we went out. 🌿 The grandmother loves Chinese paintings, and there were three ink wash paintings in the room we stayed in. One time, I accidentally stained the bedsheet and felt really guilty when I told her, but she told me not to worry. Later, I brought her some lavender essential oil and honey from the lavender field in Valensole, and she was very surprised and touched, thanking me over and over. If I ever come to Provence again, I would definitely stay with her. ❤️ This trip to Provence was truly delightful. Provence is incredibly beautiful, peaceful, and leisurely, with wonderful natural scenery. Each town has its own unique charm, and they are not crowded. Finally, I spent the summer I had dreamed of countless times in the vibrant month of August. I highly recommend it to everyone! 🌟 #France #Travel #Trip #Provence #FrenchTravel #Homestay #Gordes #Valensole #Lavender
