🇫🇷 Beaune, France |

While the famous Hospices de Beaune is a must-see, this charming Burgundy town has so much more to offer! Here are three incredible shops that stole my heart ❤️ 📚 1. The Wine Lover's Paradise (Across from Hospices) Right opposite the Hospices entrance, you'll find a bookshop that'll make any oenophile weak at the knees! Endless shelves of: Wine books (even WSET manuals 😂) Cookbooks & comics Gorgeous wine maps & Zalto/Sy glasses (at great prices!) While I resisted buying more wine books (my Italian wine & sake collection is already overflowing thanks to friends), this place is a treasure trove for wine geeks! 📍 Opposite Hospices de Beaune 🧀 2. Cheese Heaven at Alain Hess Beaune's only dedicated fromagerie is a revelation! Two massive displays showcase every French cheese imaginable - sorted by region, milk type, and texture. The best part? The staff are incredibly patient with beginners! Just describe what flavors you like ("creamy? pungent? nutty?") and they'll find your perfect match. Visiting here made me want to study French cheese professionally! 😍 Pro tip: Try the Époisses - Burgundy's famously stinky (but delicious) washed-rind cheese! 📍 Alain Hess Fromagerie 🕰️ 3. Quatre Faubourg - Vintage Wonderland As a vintage addict, this place had me literally unable to leave! Three rooms packed with: Antique copper pots (I desperately wanted to take one!) 19th-century dining sets Beautifully restored furniture The owner - a hilarious old gentleman - even joked: "Don't forget to tag us on IG!" 😂 I left with two 1850s crystal glasses (perfect for cocktails back home!) Whether they're truly from 1850 isn't the point - it's about the joy of sharing history with friends over drinks! 🥂 📍 Quatre Faubourg Why Beaune Captured My Heart ❤️ Beyond its famous wines, Beaune offers that perfect French small-town magic: Where every shopkeeper has time to chat Where history feels alive in vintage treasures Where cheese & wine aren't just food - they're culture #BurgundyGems #FrenchVintage #CheeseLover #BeauneDiaries #SlowTravel
