🇫🇷 Brittany – Saint-Brieuc’s Hidden Gem: L’Air du Temps 🍽️✨
During my trip through Brittany, I stopped for a night in the charming town of Saint-Brieuc. Though small, it’s home to a fantastic Michelin-listed restaurant: L’Air du Temps—specializing in cocottes (cast-iron pot dishes)! 🥘🔥 Here, the mains feature chicken, fish, scallops, beef, and lamb cocottes, served with seasonal veggies and rich sauces—absolutely delicious and unique! You can order à la carte (higher quality but pricier) or opt for their insanely affordable €22.90 menu (available for both lunch & dinner). Pro tip: Book ahead via their website—they require email confirmation! 📩 Starters: 🍖 Verrine de pâté du jour – Classic French terrine/pâté in a cute jar, served with pickles and toasted bread. Simple but tasty! 🐟 PSoupe de poisson – Rich fish soup, perfect for dipping bread. So flavorful! 🥖💛 Mains (Cocottes!): 🍗 PChicken (Suprême de Volaille) – Tender & juicy! 🐟 Cod (Pavé de Lieu Jaune) – Flaky and perfectly cooked. 🦪 Scallops (Noix de Saint-Jacques, à la carte) – Worth the splurge! (All cocottes come with potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, leeks, etc. Generous portions!) Desserts: 🧀 Tomme de Vaumadeuc – A local hard cheese... as dessert? 🧂🤔 (Still don’t get why cheese is a dessert in France!) 🍮 Crème Brûlée – Classic, reliable, sweet (unlike the cheese!). Pick this if you go for the menu! 📍 Address: 6 Rue Sainte-Barbe, 22000 Saint-Brieuc 🌐 Reservations: airdutemps.fr #Brittany #France #FrenchCuisine #Michelin #Travel #Foodie #TravelTips #StudyAbroad ✈️🍷
