🇫🇷 Day Trip to Puy de Dôme from Clermont-Ferrand

FREE weekend transit alert! 🎉 Even the shuttle (navette) to the volcano is free – drops you right at the scenic train station. 🥾 My Adventure Up: Hiked via Chemin des Muletiers (beginner trail but still kicked my butt 🍑 – took me 2hrs vs the usual 1.5hrs). Down: Took the scenic train (€15 one-way, 15min ride – legs said THANK YOU). ☁️ Weather Drama: • Fog so thick I could’ve been on Mars 🌫️ • Rain + wind (but the wind pushed me uphill – I’ll allow it 💨) • Cleared up JUST as I descended… classic. 🏔️ Summit Highlights 🍽️ Le Resto d'Epicure: Pricey but WORTH IT (€34 menu, best dessert of 2024!). 🏛️ Temple de Mercure: Tiny but cool ruins with free audio guide. 🐑 Bonus: Met some chill sheep living their best grass-eating life.
