🇫🇷 Dining by Chance in Lyon: A Cozy Bistro on Danton Street 🍽️

Last time I visited the Michelin Guide restaurant Danton 🍴, but this time I went to L'escapade, a charming and affordable little bistro. There's no complicated menu or extensive wine list here. Instead, you choose from three appetizers, four main courses, and four desserts based on the day's ingredients. 🍴 **L'escapade** **Opening Hours:** Lunch and dinner, Monday to Friday The location is a bit off the beaten path, so be prepared for a bit of a walk. 🚶‍♂️ Today's appetizer was a choice of two; the soup was unavailable. I opted for the beef tartare, which was more like beef under a blanket. It had a thin layer of pastry on top, and it was quite a delightful surprise! 🥩 My friend chose the ham platter, which included 3-4 types of ham, pickles, and bread crumbs. For the main course, I had chicken, which was surprisingly tender and delicious despite being chicken breast. My friend went for the beef, which I wouldn't recommend. Other options included beef tartare and risotto. For dessert, I chose the molten chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. My friend's crème brûlée had a hint of cinnamon, which isn't mentioned on the menu, so be aware if you're not a fan of cinnamon. 🍪 #Lyon #LyonLife #HiddenGemRestaurant #LyonCuisine #LyonEats #LyonTips #Lyon
