🇫🇷 Expensive but Delicious French Food – But Skip the Fries! 🇫🇷
We arrived at Maximilien on a Saturday in June around 12 PM, much earlier than our 1:45 PM reservation, but we were warmly welcomed at the front desk and promptly seated at a lovely window table with a beautiful waterfront view. 🪟🌊 The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the Green Roquefort Salad – fresh, flavorful, and nicely dressed. 🥗✨ The Sailor Mussels were served hot and packed with delicious, savory broth. 🍲❤️ Now, about those fries – they were quite disappointing. Not hot, and sadly soft instead of crispy. 🍟😕 But the Pan-Seared Alaskan Halibut with potatoes, mushrooms, and a rich white butter sauce was absolutely hot, flavorful, and perfectly cooked! 🐟🧈👌 The baguette was good, though it was a letdown that unsalted butter wasn’t offered. Overall, we were very satisfied with our lunch at Maximilien – except for those limp fries. Just be prepared: it’s quite pricey, but you’re paying for the location, ambiance, and mostly excellent food. ✅ Beautiful waterfront view ✅ Friendly & prompt service ✅ Most dishes delicious & well-prepared ✅ Great for a special occasion ❌ Fries were soft & not hot ❌ No unsalted butter for bread 💵 Expensive but generally worth it #MaximilienSeattle #FrenchCuisine #WaterfrontDining #SeattleEats #HalibutDish
