🇫🇷 Paris Food Tour | Affordable French Cuisine
Restaurant name: Paris Follie’s Address: 74 Av. Kléber, 75116 Paris👌🏻 I’ve eaten here twice, and personally think it’s a great-value French restaurant in the city center! The ratio of foreigners to Chinese customers is about 7:3, and many nearby office workers come here for dinner after work.🧡 🌈🌈If you don’t order drinks, it’s only 10-20 euros per person, which is really cost-effective [thumbs up]. Highly recommended: 💧- Salade Landaise (Foie Gras/Duck Liver Salad) Huge portion, with foie gras, chicken gizzards, ham, lettuce, and even a duck leg on the side. The foie gras is tender and melts in your mouth. The chicken gizzards taste a bit like the braised ones from street stalls back home—light but delicious! The ham, lettuce, and duck leg are all solid; not too salty (I’ve been traumatized by over-salted food in Italy 😅).💞 - Roast chicken in jus with mashed potatoes We ordered this randomly, but it was surprisingly good! The mashed potatoes are creamy, smooth, and generous in portion. The chicken is tender too—one plate is really filling.⛈️⛈️ 😊😊Mildly recommended: - Duck confit It’s just okay. I think it’s not as good as the one I had near the Musée d’Orsay. 🥨🥨 The duck leg is a bit salty, but the potato slices are nice—crispy and fragrant. Sprinkle some Cuihong (chili powder) on them, and they taste just like Yunnan-Guizhou style crispy potatoes 💞💞 - Raw or pan-fried salmon tartare Pretty average, no memorable taste. Better to order the foie gras salad instead 🙂↔️. Not recommended (personal opinion only): - French Onion Soup It has cheese and bread in it, and it’s very salty. You take a bite of the bread from the soup, and you need two sips of water to wash it down. 🏡🏡 You can dip the free baguette from the restaurant into the soup, but I still find it too salty—I don’t like it 😅. We ordered some drinks during our second visit. My friend got a Mojito, and I tried Sex on the Terrasse and Whisky Sour. 🍓 🏡🏡They were okay, but the Mojito got too sweet towards the end, and the mint flavor was too strong for me. Still, each drink was under 7 euros, so they’re neither good nor bad.🍚 🎊🎊But secretly, I’ve been missing the Mojitos in Lisbon—less than 4 euros a glass, really tasty, huge portions, and cheap . That’s the real deal #food #FrenchCuisine #HiddenGemRestaurant #WesternFoodIsFood #RestaurantRecommendations #Paris #FoodNearArcDeTriomphe #ParisFrenchFoodRecommendations
