For your first meal in Paris

After more than a month of research, I finally got to eat at this French snail specialty restaurant, L’ESCARCOT, on my first day in Paris 🐌. I came across this restaurant online and fell in love with it at first sight—it totally suits my taste!❣️ 💞The restaurant is filled with a Baroque-style classical charm and is a century-old establishment with a long history. So I planned to have a thoroughly French-style lunch here on my first day in Paris 🤗. The menu is available in French and English. Since I’d done my homework in advance, ordering didn’t take much time.🏟️🏟️ ☀️☀️I ordered the snail platter 🐌: the Escargot Mixed Plate (with various flavors, 12 pieces for 36€). I particularly liked the foie gras-flavored ones (Foie Gras). The garlic-fried frog legs 🐸, though simply seasoned, had extremely tender meat. 🍊 The duck confit 🦆, a classic French dish, tasted a bit like cured meat—firm yet flavorful. The sauce drizzled over it was delicious when paired with toasted bread sticks. The onion soup 🍲 was good too, especially the crispy baked top, and the soup itself had a refreshing taste.👀 There was also a fish steamed with sea salt 🐟 (I’m not sure of the exact name; the waiter recommended it, so I tried it. It had a simple, pure flavor).⛈️ 🛎💰 The average cost per person is around 50-60€. Tipping the waiters is voluntary. Our meal came to 156€, so I just rounded it up to 160€, and the difference counted as a tip 😃 (you don’t have to tip if the service is poor). 💡 It’s best to book in advance on their official website to avoid waiting.🍲🍲 🎈🎈P.S.: I went to the main branch, so there’s a huge golden snail 🐌 at the entrance, which is quite interesting. It seems only this location on Montorgueil has this signature. Also, it’s not far from the Louvre, so you can arrange to visit the Louvre and stop by here afterward~🐔 Address below 👇👇 📍L'Escargot, 38 Rue Montorgueil, 75001 Paris, #FrenchCuisine #ParisFoodTour #ParisRestaurantRecommendations #ParisTravelGuide #BestSnailsInParis #HiddenGemRestaurant #AtmosphericRestaurant #LuxuryOnTheTongue #FrenchFineDining
