🇫🇷 What I Ate in Bordeaux
Palatino A trendy Italian restaurant. I thought the place wouldn't be too big, so I made a reservation three days in advance for the earliest seating on a Friday night. When I walked in, I was shocked—it’s huge! I rarely see such a large restaurant in Bordeaux. Still, I’d recommend making a reservation. When we left at 9 PM, there was already a line outside (French people take their dinners seriously, and the turnover is pretty slow). 🍽️ At first, they asked what we wanted to drink. We planned to order cocktails after the meal, but then the waiter asked if we wanted water. I thought it would be tap water, but when I checked the bill, I realized it was bottled water for 6 euros (water ≠ tap water!). 💡 The pizzas and pastas come in pretty large portions. Three of us ordered black truffle mushroom pasta, a pizza, and beef slices with ham. We even had half a pizza left over. Every dish was delicious (though I thought the pasta was a bit rich). My friend who’s been to Italy said it was even better than what we had there. Haha! 🍝 The cocktails are cheap and generous in size—definitely worth a try. 🍸 The restaurant has great Wi-Fi, so you can scan the QR code to view the menu and pay online directly. Average cost: 20-30 euros per person. 💸 #France #Bordeaux #BordeauxFood #FrenchItalianCuisine #Pasta #Bar #Cocktails
