It is renowned for its innovative exhibition spaces and highly interactive exhibits. One of the museum's highlights is an enormous blue whale skeleton weighing 2 tons, suspended from the ceiling, making it one of the museum's spectacular displays. In addition, the museum showcases a selection of 3,500 specimens, illustrating animals in their natural habitats. For children under 6, the museum has specially designed a captivating children's museum (Musée des tout-petits), featuring baby animal specimens, aiming to provide education and entertainment for younger visitors.
