🇬🇧|Nottingham
Casual study abroad diaries are back ~ Just went to Nottingham with our uni bus trip – it’s seriously perfect for a day trip if you’re based in Sheffield, Leeds or York! The city is compact and cozy 🏙️, with a small but lovely city centre packed with great shops like Zara, Flannels, Primark, M&S, Vivienne Westwood, Victoria Centre, The Tokenhouse, Jellycat, Schuh, JD, Dr. Martens and more 👟🛍️. A little heads-up though – if you're planning to buy Vivienne Westwood here, maybe wait for Black Friday 🖤… the discount is way better since the boutique here is pretty tiny. 🤫 What’s more – Nottingham has tons of delicious AND affordable restaurants 🍴! You really can’t go wrong with just walking in anywhere. Big shoutout to Zaap Thai 🇹🇭 – it’s super popular and lived up to the hype! The owner and staff are Thai and they kindly provide a Chinese menu too 🥢. We ordered four main dishes – all amazing. You can’t go wrong with the roasted pork rice, pho, or yellow beef curry 🍛! Though personally, their signature ribs were a bit too sweet for my taste… sweet ribs? This Zhejiang kid was shook. 😂 I didn’t make it to Deer Park myself 🦌 – used a friend’s photo instead 📸. It’s a bit far from the city centre, so better to take an Uber or bus. If you’re doing a day trip, you might need to start early or skip some shopping to fit it in. Perfect for camping or a 30-min park walk – opens at 1:00 PM, so don’t go too early! 🌳🧡 Breathing in that fresh Nottingham air… Grateful for these gentle early autumn memories. 🍂🍁 #Nottingham #TravelDiaries #SeeTheWorld #Wanderlust #TravelGram #UKStudent #StudyInUK
