🇬🇧 Belfast City Guide (Compact One-Day Itinerary)
I had a short stay in Belfast for two nights and two days to apply for my US visa. I arrived the day before my appointment to relax a bit, spent two days exploring Belfast, and then took a cruise back to Liverpool. Map included at the end! 🗺️ Route: Morning: US Visa Center → Queen’s University → Botanic Gardens → Ulster Museum Afternoon: City Hall → St. Anne's Cathedral → Titanic Museum → Big Fish & Albert Memorial Clock 1️⃣ Appointments are usually around 9 AM. If everything goes smoothly, you’ll be done before 10. From the visa center, it’s a 7-minute walk to the bus stop, and then about 10 minutes by bus to Queen’s University. 🚌 2️⃣ Queen’s University campus is compact. You can easily walk straight into the Botanic Gardens from there. 🌳 3️⃣ The Ulster Museum is located in one corner of the gardens. Worth a visit if you’re interested! 🖼️ After this, you can grab lunch or head back to your accommodation for a short break. 🍽️😴 4️⃣ Start the afternoon at City Hall. The second-floor tour requires booking in advance, so I didn’t go up. The first floor only takes about 5 minutes to see, but the exterior is very photogenic, especially on a sunny day! 📸 5️⃣ St. Anne’s Cathedral isn’t free unless you’re a student at Queen’s or Ulster University—it costs £3. Not much to see inside, so you can skip it. ⛪ 6️⃣ Allow at least 2–3 hours for the Titanic Museum (it closes at 5 PM!). Student discount available—ticket was £19 with my student card. Highly recommend renting an audio guide (available in Chinese!). 🎧🚢 Fun story: I met a super nice sister at the museum who gave me a souvenir ticket! 😘 Thank you again! 7️⃣ After the museum, it’s a 20-minute walk to the Big Fish 🐟—its scales are inscribed with stories from the Titanic. Another 5 minutes on foot will take you to the Albert Memorial Clock. 🕰️ #BelfastVisa #BelfastTravel #QueensUniversityBelfast #Titanic #TitanicMuseum #StudyAbroadLife
