A perfect half-day escape from London for just £15 roundtrip (2h from Clapham Junction). Though I missed the famed cliff railway (opening in April!), Hastings still stole my heart. 🌞 Itinerary 📍 Hastings Beach A quick 10-min walk from the station to pebbled shores. Stroll toward the cliffs! 📍 West Hill (Must-visit!) Noon magic: Emerald grasslands so vivid, they look Photoshopped. Best views overall! 📍 Blue Dolphin Fish Bar Cod & chips (£7): Massive portion (almost too filling), though flavor was just okay—think Filet-O-Fish minus the bun. 📍 East Hill Less impressive: Dead branches block the vista.
