🇬🇧 Hastings & Rye Travel Guide 🌞🌊
(Sharing this because my last post helped some of you book the same lovely Airbnb—so here are my top picks for food & fun!) Hastings battles Eastbourne for "UK’s Sunniest City", making it perfect for escaping London’s gloom. 🍽️ EATS IN HASTINGS (Old Town) 1️⃣ Cod Father 🐟🍟 Best fish & chips ever (trust me!). 2️⃣ RX Fisheries 🦪 £1.30 oysters, £3 crayfish bowls—fresh & cheap! 3️⃣ Seafood Market 🦞 Open till 4:30pm. Buy just-caught seafood—vendors shuck oysters for you! 4️⃣ Pub Alleys 🍻 Cozy lanes packed with bars (safe at night!). 5️⃣ P18 Bakery 🥐 Skip it—too sweet, but budget-friendly. 🏰 PLAY 1️⃣ Hastings Castle (£6-7) Built by William the Conqueror. Even if you skip the ruins, the hilltop views are worth it. 2️⃣ Seaside Promenade 🚴 Flat paths perfect for biking. Winter sunrises here are magical. 3️⃣ Rye Day Trip (40min away) ⛪ Charming shops, flea markets, and a historic church (climb the tower for £ or enjoy the ground floor free). *Allow 5-6 hours* (including travel). 🏡 Stay: Same Airbnb as my last post (DM for deets!). #HastingsGuide #UKSunshine #LondonWeekend #SeasideEscape
