🇬🇧 Hidden Gem for Hiking in the UK 🇬🇧
This weekend, I explored Rutland Water, the largest artificial lake in the UK! 🌊 Covering over 3,000 acres, the lake is surrounded by vast grasslands where you can enjoy hiking, cycling, sailing, fishing, and even spot adorable black-faced lambs 🐑. On sunny days, it’s absolutely stunning—perfect for a lakeside picnic 🧺☀️. Even on cloudy days, it has its own unique charm! We hiked a small section from Normanton to Sykes Lane and back, which took about two hours 🥾. The area has four car parks, each offering access to different activities—choose based on your preferences! We drove to Normanton Car Park on the south shore (about an hour from Leicester 🚗). This spot is great for picnics and features the iconic half-submerged church ⛪. 📍 Rutland Water Navigate to: Normanton Car Park (LE15 8HD) #LightHiking 🥾 #UKTravel 🇬🇧 #EasyHike 🚶♀️ #ExploreOnFoot 🌍 #HikingRoutes 🗺️ #StudyInUK 🎓 #LeicesterLife 🏞️ #LeicesterTravel 🧭
