🇬🇧 Jurassic Coast: The Most Stunning Seaside in the UK!
The Durdle Door—aka "England’s Elephant Trunk Hill" 🐘—is absolutely breathtaking! Every photo you take here could be a wallpaper! 🌊 And guess what? We got there from Bristol by train for just £16 round trip! 🚆 🚆 How to Get There 1️⃣ Train from Bristol → Weymouth (~2h, arrive by noon). 2️⃣ Bus X54 (from Weymouth station, 8-min walk) → Durdle Door (~1h ride). ⚠️ Warning: This bus runs only every 2 hours—miss it, and you’re stuck waiting! 🌊 The Adventure Begins! 20-min downhill walk (steep! Be careful!) → BAM! The turquoise-blue sea hits you like a dream. 💙 Follow the crowd to the cliff viewpoint—the Durdle Door arch looks unreal against the white cliffs! Climb down to the pebble beach (windy AF but worth it). 🚌 Returning Tips Check the last bus! We left at 5 PM (30-min uphill hike to the stop). Bus direction matters! Only "Weymouth" buses go back to the train station. Dinner in Weymouth? Try Rios (cheap, decent Indian-style fried chicken). ⚠️ Pro Warnings: Trains get randomly canceled (ours was—we froze at the station for an hour 🥶). Pack layers—coastal winds are no joke! #JurassicCoast #UKTravel #DurdleDoor #BristolDayTrips #WeekendAdventure #StudyAbroad 🇬🇧
