Dramatic, constantly eroding golden sandstone cliffs forming one of the most recognisable views on the Dorset coastline. The indented cliff face towers above the beach, and is rich with fossils as befits the Jurassic Coast. The shingle beach can be busy at West Bay, as the area is well off for cafés, restaurants and amusements, but it doesn't take long to escape the crowds heading east towards Burton Bradstock.
