🇬🇧 Leicester Day Trip Guide 🚌
Start from Crowne Plaza Kegworth 🏨 – turn right after exiting the hotel, then left at the intersection to find the Skylink bus stop. Tap your Visa card (£3) and take the bus all the way to Leicester St. Margaret’s Bus Station 🚏 – that’s the city center! From there, you can begin your walking tour. The whole route can easily be covered in an afternoon. 🚶♂️ Walking Route: St. Margaret’s Bus Station ➡️ City Center 🏙️ ➡️ Leicester Cathedral ⛪ ➡️ Jewry Wall 🧱 ➡️ Leicester Museum & Art Gallery 🏛️ (Don’t forget to touch the “big belly” artifact – it’s said to bring good luck and wealth! 💰✨) ➡️ Walk along the river 🌊, cross through Castle Park 🏞️ ➡️ King Power Stadium ⚽ – there’s a Fan Store you can check out. We didn’t go inside the stadium, so not sure if tickets are needed. ➡️ University of Leicester 🎓 – a fairly compact campus! Nearby Victoria Park is nice if you have extra time. ➡️ Leicester Museum & Art Gallery 🖼️ (they have mummies! 😲) ➡️ Town Hall Square – a cute little plaza ⛲ ➡️ Shopping Centre 🛍️ ➡️ Return to St. Margaret’s Bus Station 🚉 And that’s a wrap! 🎉 If you’re interested, you can also visit the National Space Centre 🚀 (ticket is around £20 – we skipped it). 🚌 Bonus Tip: St. Margaret’s Bus Station also has National Express coaches to London 🏴➡️🇬🇧. A round trip takes about 2.5–3 hours one way and costs around £30 – not bad! #UK 🇬🇧 #Leicester 🏛️ #LeicesterCity 🔵 #UniversityOfLeicester 🎓 #DayTrip 🚶♀️ #LeicesterFood 🍴 #TravelUK ✈️ #KingPowerStadium
