🇮🇸 Traditional Icelandic Cuisine: Sheep's Head 🐑
📍 Íslenski Barinn This restaurant hides tons of traditional Icelandic delicacies! Though recommended countless times, no one ever mentioned their sheep's head dish—absolutely mind-blowing! 😱 The moment I ordered, the Swedish diners nearby shot me astonished looks 👀 and curiously asked about the taste... Honestly, it totally hit the spot for me! 👌 Very similar to northern Chinese braised lamb head, complete with eyes 👁️ and tongue 👅 (though the brain is made into a paste - Icelanders utilize every part, even lamb testicles 🐏 that most Europeans avoid). My Swedish companion's lobster hot dog🌭 was equally amazing! Must-try! Though their burgers🍔 were just average~ 📍 Reykjavik Fish Restaurant Fish and chips🍟 are everywhere here, but this is one of the few edible ones! Marketed as traditional Icelandic cuisine...but my cheesy mashed potatoes with onions had barely any fish🐟! My friend's fish soup turned into a "treasure hunt"—the menu promised loads of fish, but reality...🤷♀️ 📍 Chinese Food Truck "Hua Wei" The owner's been running it for 4 years! ✨ Even Huang Zitao ate here when filming in Iceland in 2019~ The jianbing🌯 and roujiamo🥙 aren't super authentic, but perfect for curing homesickness cravings! 📍 Must-Try Food Truck on Northern Road Trips Found this fish and chips🍟 near Arnarstapi scenic area—so delicious you'll lick your fingers! 🤤 Paired with breathtaking landscapes🏔️, it's an unmissable stop for road trippers! # Íslenski Barinn#Reykjavik Fish Restaurant#Reykjavik#food#Island#travel guide
