๐ฎ๐น I officially declare: This is the BEST restaurant in Venice! ๐
Name: Hostaria Vite Rossa ๐ Located near the Hilton in Mestre (at Popolo station). (PS: The Hilton is well-located โ buses right outside go to the main island/airport โ๏ธ, rooms are huge ~50mยฒ+, though breakfast is just okay ๐ฅ) ๐ฆ Lobster Pasta: Absolutely incredible! ๐ The whole lobster was fresh and springy, served with linguine in a sweet-tomato sauce that was rich but not heavy. ๐ฅ Grilled Seafood Platter (staff recommendation): Includes lobster (a bit dry grilled โ better in the pasta), mantis shrimp, scampi ๐ฆ, grilled fish ๐, octopus, squid ๐, and veggies. Simple cooking, amazing flavor! ๐ Octopus Salad: Delicious with a uniquely fantastic sauce. ๐ Tuna Tartare: Tender and fresh โ I prefer tuna over salmon (less fatty). No wasabi, but paired perfectly with olive oil, vinegar, and bread. ๐ฅ ๐ถ We indulged freely โ ended up around โฌ350 per person. Compared to Italian restaurants in Shanghai at similar prices, this was on another level! Bella Napoli? Underwhelming. Suzieโs โฌ700 lobster pasta? Doesnโt even come close. Even the โWestern foodโ I tried in Sydney and Christchurch left me questioning lifeโฆ ๐ ๐ด Conclusion: If you want real Italian food โ you HAVE to come to Italy! Magic on a plate! โจ #ItalianCuisine #FoodNoBorders #GlobalEats #WesternFood #StudentFoodie #VeniceEats ๐๐ฎ๐น
