🇮🇹 Turin is Beautiful, But I Won’t Be Back 😅
Turin is truly pretty—wide streets, feels safe, and somehow gives me a vibe similar to being back in China. But there are very few Chinese people here; it’s rare to see Asian faces on the street. I originally wanted to go up the hill to see the city view at dusk, but ran into a protest blocking the road. Lots of police showed up, streets got closed, and traffic turned into chaos. 🚧👮♂️ When it comes to food, there doesn’t seem to be any standout local specialty. I followed some recommendations but still felt underwhelmed. One place was even hyped as “so good people would break car windows to eat there”… but it turned out overly rich and honestly not tasty—plus pretty expensive. You might have better luck just walking into a random spot. 🍝😬 The people here gave me the impression that they can be somewhat dismissive toward foreigners—maybe especially Asians. One restaurant had waitstaff with bad attitudes, slow service, and they even messed up the bill. Not sure if it was intentional or just incompetence… (The food was decent though.) Not recommending that place purely because of the service. 🫤 If you’re based in Milan, it’s worth a day trip. But if you’re coming from farther away… maybe not worth the effort. #Milan #Turin #Italy #TravelDiary #DayTrip #StudyAbroad #ItalianFood 🇮🇹✨
