š®š¹ Venice | A Hard-to-Describe City & Probably Wonāt Return
š®š¹ Autumn in Italy is a symphony of boats and sky. š When the sunset bell rings, Iāll kiss you under the Bridge of Sighs ~ Thatās the poetic version of Venice⦠but from a travelerās perspective, hereās what I really experienced: š« Inconvenient transportation, expensive public transit. šØ Expected humid air? Woke up with dry skin instead. šļø Venice is fun to explore ā shopping is on the main island. St. Markās Basilica āŖ, Accademia Bridge, Rialto Bridge ā all there. šļø Stores close early though ā we missed everything! š St. Markās Square is beautiful šļø, truly a World Heritage site. But if sea levels rise⦠it might not last long. š Venetian masks šŗ have long symbolized equality ā one cool cultural touch. āµ Getting around: š Uber has limited service here. š æļø Bringing a car onto the island? Extra fees + nightmare for luggage š§³! š¤ Public ferry is convenient⦠but ā¬9.5 per person? š³ Walking is cheaper (and healthier). š Final thoughts: Venice is one of those places you might regret not visiting⦠but once is enough. #WorldHeritageCity #TravelTheWorld #ItalianLanguage #Venice #VisitVenice #VeniceTravel #VeniceGuide #ClassicalArchitecture #TravelGlobe
