🇮🇹 Venice Travel Guide (2-3 Days) 🌊✈️

Personal experience only~ 🏨 Accommodation: Highly recommend staying on the main island (if you travel light—no big suitcases!). It’s safe even at night—two of us girls walked around past 11 PM with no issues 🌙. Venice at night is a completely different vibe! 🚫 I don’t get why many suggest staying near the train station—it looked sketchy while planning. 💡 Remember to apply for the city access fee online and bring a little cash for the city tax (or withdraw from local ATMs). 🚤 Transportation: ✅ Definitely get a daily water bus pass! 📲 Use the official app—scan the QR code at the machine before boarding. Ticket checks do happen! ✨ Also try the €2 hand-rowed traghetto (cash only)—it’s a 5-6 min cross-canal ride 🛶, but such a fun local experience! ⏩ Recommended route: Santa Maria della Salute → St. Mark’s Square (no queues!). Shoutout to the bloggers who shared this tip! 🏝️ Island Hopping: Burano (Rainbow Island) 🌈: Pretty and relaxing! Not much to “do,” but perfect for chilling. Murano (Glass Island) 🔮: Okay-ish. Shops close early—go before 6 PM. Lido 🏖️: Not recommended. Super windy + sandy. The free beach is far—not walkable in flip-flops 😅. 🏰 Main Island Highlights: St. Mark’s Square is grand and photogenic 📸. Churches and basilicas are beautiful from outside—similar indoors, so no need to queue. No need to hunt for specific bridges—just wander! ⏳ Half a day is enough if you skip indoor attractions. 🍝 Food Review: ❌ Ristorante San Silvestro: Overpriced (€45/person) and mediocre. Squid ink pasta had barely any squid… ✅ Arcicchetti Bakaro: €1 snacks, €3-4 wine/beer. Simple but fun—friendly owner! Eat on the steps. 🍰 I Tre Mercanti: Tiramisu—great first few bites, then gets heavy. Often crowded—no seats. 🍕 Pizzeria al gazebo: Open late. Okay taste, small portions. Seafood risotto €20—not the best value. 🛒 Supermarket SPAR: Cheap & good—peaches, cherries 🍒, and 1.5L water for €0.29! #Venice #ItalyTravel #TravelGuide #SoloTravel #EuropeDiaries
