🇮🇹 What I Ate in Turin|3 Days of Food & Snacks 🥡🍮
Turin is REALLY cold – if you’re visiting in winter, layer up! ❄️🧣 🧋 Foodie 📍 Via XX Settembre, 9, 10121 Torino TO Bubble tea + snack bar. They serve taro balls, oden, jianbing (savory crepe), eggettes, and more. We tried: Taiyaki (5€ for 3) – flavors: Oreo, red bean, cream. Freshly baked, so fragrant and yummy! 🐟🔥 Even the next day, the skin was still crispy! Jianbing with sausage (4.5€) – huge portion, enough to fill you up! The bubble tea was just okay – not bad, not great. Snacks are the real win here. 🥢 Lao 📍 Via Giuseppe Barbaroux, 25, 10122 Torino TO I knew it was “foreigner-friendly Chinese food,” but didn’t expect it to be this bad 😅 Staff are mostly non-Chinese but speak a little Mandarin – ordering in Chinese was fine though 😂 Shocked to see a guy making hand-pulled noodles in the open kitchen 🫢 Xiaolongbao (9€ for 5) – salty but juicy. Skin was thin, meat was decent… until the soup squirted on me 💦 Braised eggplant (8€) – avoid! Tasted like soy sauce stew 🍆⚠️ Dandan noodles & Wan noodles (12€ each) – not good 🚭🙅♀️ 🥐 Piscitella 📍 Via dell‘Arsenale, 34, 10121 Torino TO A random pastry shop that surprised us! Papillon – bow-shaped croissant 🎀 Super crispy, buttery, with chocolate and cream inside. Not too sweet! Coda Aragosta – “lobster tail” croissant 🥐🧈 Filling was generous, but tasted like a regular croissant in a fun shape. 🧈 Maicol - Croissant Pane Pasticceria 📍 Via S. Tommaso, 27 c, 10121 Torino TO Another pastry spot – to-go only, no coffee. Cube Croissant (4.5€) – a bit pricey but SO worth it! Filled with rich vanilla custard. You can even see the vanilla seeds! 🤎 Would be even better warmed up. #TurinEats #PastryLover #BubbleTeaTime #FoodReview #TurinFood #TravelItaly #StudyAbroadLife 🇮🇹✨
