🇰🇪 Lake Elementaita & Nakuru: A Flamingo Paradise! 🌅🦩

Seeing vast flocks of pink flamingos is a must-do on any Kenyan safari! Witnessing them take flight in swirling pink clouds was absolutely magical & breathtaking! ✨ 📍 We visited the lesser-known Lake Elementaita 🌊, where our guide said most flamingos had migrated from other lakes. Our hotel, Serena Lake Elementaita, was right by the shore—we could lie on the grass and watch thousands of flamingos! 🏨 The rooms were luxury tented suites with private views of the lake. 💡 Flamingo Viewing Tips: You can get out of the car near the lake, but don’t get too close—flamingos are shy and will fly away! � For a closer look, we did a horseback ride 🐴 (paid activity) that took us near the water’s edge! 🔆 Sunset Cocktail Party by the Lake! 🍹🎸 Our hotel & tour agency surprised us with a dreamy sunset event—live guitar music, cocktails, and flamingos in the golden light! We even saw a rainbow! 🌈 🟡 Bonus: Lakeside Breakfast at Sunrise! ☀️🍳 We had a peaceful morning eating breakfast by the water, watching flamingos & the sunrise—pure serenity! 📍 Next Stop: Lake Nakuru (20min drive) 🚗💨 Saw white rhinos 🦏 (part of the Big Five!)—two families grazing! Spotted pelicans, fish eagles, and Kenya’s national bird in flight—so majestic! 🦅 Discovered Rothschild’s giraffes 🦒—new species for us! 💡 Safari Luck Strikes Again! 🍀 In just a few hours, we: Watched a lioness 🦁 stalking impalas (they froze & stared back—tense moment!).
