🇲🇦 One Day in Casablanca is Enough!

I had high expectations for Casablanca—the legendary "White Romantic City"—but honestly, it was just okay. Not many must-see attractions, one day is plenty. It works well as an entry/exit point for Morocco.✨✨ Here's my itinerary: ♦️ Arrived the night before and had dinner at Complexe la Cascade by the sea. Nice view but crazy expensive—$40 per person just for a drink! Could be a fancy first-meal splurge though. ♦️ After dinner, took a walk along the Corniche to see the Hassan II Mosque at night. ♦️ Stayed at Courtyard by Marriott—breakfast was decent but weirdly only had mini sausages for meat? Disappointing! ♦️ Next morning around 9 AM, headed straight to Hassan II Mosque (world's 3rd largest mosque). Fun fact: 1/3 of it is built over the ocean because the late King Hassan II supposedly had a dream where Allah said, "The throne of God shall be upon the water." Join the free hourly guided tour—it's the only way to go inside! Loved that it welcomes everyone, regardless of religion. ♦️ If you miss a tour, just explore outside—great photo ops by the sea! ♦️ After the mosque, walked 15-20 mins to Rick’s Café. Had a $10 coffee (ouch!). Never saw the movie, but it's a must-visit for vibes. Wouldn’t recommend eating there though—too pricey. ♦️ From Rick’s, walked to the Old Medina (souks). Loved the chaotic local market energy! Just stay alert—it’s a bit sketchy. ♦️ For dinner, tried La Sqala (locals recommended it). First time having tagine with dates—sweet & salty combo was interesting!🌊 ♦️ Skipped the hammam (Moroccan bath) and went back to the hotel. If you're up for it, check opening hours—some close early.🌊 Final thoughts: The city is white... but kinda dirty and chaotic. 24 hours is enough—don’t stay longer!✨✨ #MoroccoTravel #Morocco #Casablanca #CasablancaTravel #CasablancaFood
