🇲🇽 Guadalajara, Mexico

I’ve been there twice in the past two years—sharing some fun stories~ 😄 1️⃣ Got rejected for a U.S. visa in 2016 😅, but went with a Mexican visa in . The Mexican visa process is absolutely wild 😂. They said to arrive at 2 PM, and not a second earlier—they literally let people in exactly at are taken away immediately, so bring cash ‼️ Otherwise, you can’t pay the fee 👏. The attitude throughout was so bad… I was both annoyed and amused 🫠. Felt like being interrogated 🚨. Heard Mexican embassies everywhere are equally rude—maybe it’s policy? 👁️ 2️⃣ 🌸 Guadalajara 🌼 is known as a wealthy area in Mexico. Families of drug lords live here, so it’s relatively safe 👌. Also, lots of handsome guys and beautiful girls around~ 😍 3️⃣ Didn’t know this before coming to Mexico 🤯: Mexicans don’t need a driver’s license to drive 🚗‼️ Shocking, right? If you know someone who can drive, they can just teach you 🤓. 4️⃣ This is the Hospicio Cabañas 🏛️. The murals tell many stories… Hmm, religion really has been a tool for those in power to control people 🎭. 5️⃣ Other spots include the cathedral, state government buildings, city hall, etc. 🏙️ 6️⃣ Mexico has lovely weather 🌤️, and in recent years, more and more Chinese people are moving there—though most ultimately aim for the U.S. 🗽. What struck me the most was the number of poor people. But they don’t ask for money—they ask for food 🥪. They’re lacking food, not cash. Several times while eating, I saw homeless people asking for food—some with elderly, some with kids 🥺. Buying an extra portion for them makes them really happy, and they won’t bother you further. ❤️ #TravelRecommender #Mexico #TipsAndStories #HappyEveryday #Guadalajara
