đľđš Benagil Caves ď˝ Dream Come True Moment đ
Finally, itâs no longer just a picture I saw through a screen. The first time I came across this place, I immediately added it to my bucket list â . It did not disappointâit truly gave me some of the most unforgettable memories. We booked a hotel in Lagos đď¸, a small town surrounded by the sea. I highly recommend staying near the beachâjust a few steps and youâre on the sand. Lagos is about 40 minutes by car to Benagil. If you mainly want to explore the Benagil Caves area, itâs better to stay in Carvoeiroâonly a 10-minute drive and itâs a beautiful little town. There are two main ways to explore the caves: speedboat đ¤ and kayak đś. Both are worth experiencing, but youâll need to plan your time carefully since access to the sea depends on tides and weatherâschedules can conflict. đ¤ Speedboat â 20⏠/ 30 min Youâll see 6-7 caves with guided commentary. No need to book in advanceâjust take a taxi to Benagil Beach, and right in front of the beach, youâll find ticket stalls. Each boat fits around 10 people. They enter the caves briefly for photos (you can use your phone), but you wonât get off the boat. đś Kayak â 26⏠/ 2h Prices are similar across providers on Google. Booking in advance is recommended. Try to get an early slotâthe sunrise session is less crowded and not too hot âď¸. We booked at 9:30 am, and it was still amazing. Our group had only 6 people, so we were luckyâthe guide led the way. Note: Itâs easy to tip over if youâre a beginner! Starting points vary by tour. We began at Albandeira Beach đď¸âa gorgeous, quiet beach perfect for sunbathing. We kayaked along the coast to Benagil Cave with commentary along the way. Bags and phones went into waterproof pouches, so taking photos wasnât easy. We stopped at the main cave to get out and take pictures đ¸, then paddled back. Your arms will be sore afterward⌠but itâs totally worth it! đŞ #BenagilCave #SouthernPortugal #BeachLife #Kayaking #DreamDestination
