🇲🇽 Guadalajara City Walk Diary

On my last day in Guadalajara, I stored my luggage and set out to explore 🎒. Visited the pink city sign 📸 and wandered through a jewelry market 💍. They had 18K gold, but mostly 14K and 10K—nothing really caught my eye. Mexico is known for its turquoise and serpentine, often set in silver 💎. I ended up buying a matching earring-necklace set and three thumb-sized turquoise pendants—all for just over 700 MXN (less than 300 !) 😲 It felt like a steal! I almost got more rings, but the craftsmanship was a bit rough, so I passed… though now I kinda regret not buying more 🥹. Later, I checked Google Maps and found a historical site about 10 mins away 🗺️. I started walking, but the streets grew quieter, and graffiti covered the walls 🎨🚧. I bought a 20 MXN ice cream 🍦 and kept going until I saw a grocery store owner locked behind iron bars… That’s when I realized I’d wandered into a sketchy area 😰. I got chills and turned back immediately. Only when I reached the busy streets again did I finally breathe a sigh of relief 😮‍💨. #Mexico #Guadalajara #CityWalk #TravelSafety #StreetVibes #TurquoiseJewelry #WanderWisely
