Just 2.5 hours from Sydney ✈️ lies this stunning French island – a perfect blend of tropical beauty and European charm! 🏨 Hotel – DoubleTree by Hilton Noumea Ilot Maitre Resort We highly recommend this hotel (booked via Booking.com). Since it’s on a private island, the hotel emails detailed instructions on how to get there from the airport: 1️⃣ Private transfer to Moselle Port 2️⃣ Airport shuttle (book via Arc en Ciel website) – 2500 XPF/person (Aeroport De Tontouta → Port Moselle) ⛵ From Moselle Port, the hotel’s boat takes ~30 mins to reach the resort. We visited in early December – luckily, the beach had just reopened after a shark-attack ban on swimming and water sports! 🦈🚫 The overwater bungalow was magical, with crystal-clear water, turtles, and fish right below – perfect for families! 🐠🌊 📶 Wi-Fi Rent a portable Wi-Fi at the airport – no need for a local SIM! 🚗 Transport Taxis are rare (only a few dozen in Nouméa!) – ask your hotel to call one. We rented a car downtown and explored the city for a day. 💰 Currency Visa cards work everywhere (no need to exchange cash). If needed, withdraw XPF from ATMs. 💬 Language Locals speak French, but English + gestures work fine! 🌴 Why Visit?
