Here's how we conquered the city in 1 day without local currency or data! 🚌 Transport Options (We Chose Walking!) 1️⃣ HOHO Bus (Hop On Hop Off) $15/day, 6-7 stops, mixed reviews 2️⃣ Tchou Tchou Tourist Train 🚂 2hr scenic ride, $50-60/person 3️⃣ OUR CHOICE: Walking! 👟 Farthest stop (Aquarium) only 4km away 🌅 Morning: Disembarking & Exploring ⚓ Port Arrival: Docked at cargo terminal → Free shuttle to tourist pier (no queues!) Avoided crowded tour stalls – headed straight for adventure! 🗺️ No Phone Data? No Problem! Offline Google Maps saved us 📱 French-only signs = retro travel vibes 😅 ⛪ Highlights of the Day 1️⃣ City Park & St. Joseph’s Cathedral Stunning neo-Gothic architecture Lucky peek inside: breathtaking stained glass & statues! ✝️ 2️⃣ 4km Coastal Walk 🌊 Passed quiet neighborhoods → reached scenic marina views ⛵ "This is why we DIY!" moment 💙 3️⃣ Lemon Bay (Anse Vata) 🏖️ Clear waters + curious silver fish 🐠 Basic facilities (1 toilet, 1 shower) Lunch shock: 3 Asian lunch boxes = 9,000 XPF (~$130 AUD) 😱 4️⃣ Nouméa Aquarium 🐡 More vibrant than Sea World! 🌈 Glass tunnels = fish paradise 📸 😱 The Crisis at 2PM...
