Route 🚂: Take the train to Utrecht Central Station, and voilà—you're right in the heart of the city's shopping district! Across from the station, you'll find a shopping mall. Unless you're heading to a castle estate, no buses are needed—almost all shops, cafes, and restaurants are within a 1km walking radius. ⚠️ Pro tip: If you want to visit the Miffy Museum (Nijntje Museum), book in advance! For weekends, reserve at least two days ahead—I missed out by booking just one day prior and had to settle for souvenirs at the themed store next door. Shop & Eat Guide 🛍 MINISO❗ Pretty much the only place in the Netherlands where you can buy facial cleansing pads (€5 per pack). They stock almost everything you’d find in a Chinese MINISO, though most other items are also available at ETOS or HEMA. 💚 Urban Outfitters: I’ve been obsessed with UO for the past 3–4 years—now about 25% of my wardrobe comes from here! They also sell super cute home decor, bedding, and quirky knick-knacks—retro yet vibrant, hard not to love! Their clothing section features many of my favorite brands too. CK underwear goes for as low as €20 during sales, and outerwear often gets 50% off. A hidden gem for sure! 🍗 Korean Fried Chicken: SONMAT 📍 Voorstraat 30, 3512 AN Utrecht Came here based on recommendations, but the fried chicken was just okay. The "sweet & spicy" sauce tasted more like tomato than gochujang, which ruined the flavor. However, their Veggie Deopbap (bibimbap) was AMAZING—so good that I preferred it over the fried chicken! 🍔 Other Food Recs (that I couldn’t try but looked great): Five Guys – Right next to the station, famous for juicy American burgers & fries. MANNEKENPIS Fries 🍟 – Boasts the title of "world’s best fries." Spotted two branches in Utrecht, so even on weekends, the lines are shorter than in Amsterdam.
