진짜 한국식 치킨먹고싶다면 여기오지마…ㅠ
It’s a shame this place calls itself Korean chicken. In terms of taste, it’s not bad, comparing it to other western chicken brands its quite good. But comparing it to Korean chicken just exposes this restaurant. It’s more like karaage with a “Korean” inspired sauce. I’m saying inspired because the yangnyeom sauce is too runny and tastes like a generic hot sauce.
Why is it so hard to recreate authentic Korean chicken found in places like BBQ or Kyochon? Why do we have to deal with this western washed version of “Korean” chicken ? The pickled radish tastes fine, I’d say this is the only authentic item on the menu, however it’s cut wayyyy too small, having to consume 3-4 blocks at a time.
Don’t get me started on the interior, why is everyone dressed in squid game costumes? Yet another example just how westernized this restaurant is and does not actually care about providing an authentic experience, their focus seems to rather be on going viral and making money.
If you’re looking for good chicken, sure come here. If you’re looking for Korean chicken, this will skew your...
Read moreSmall, easy, fast service. It learned much from the big fast food chain. You need to see this shop as a kitchen where you can pick up your order. Love the authenticity, just being as it is. The shop is not the cleanest as there are many things hanging and lying around, but has it in order. Love the effectiveness of it. There is always someone waiting outside, but goes very fast.
Yangnyeom Chicken, small, 160GR Classic, love the sauce, not too sweet and nice heat at the back. The pieces are not all even, some huge and some small, plenty of sauce. The chicken is double fried but pity enough they do not carefully added the batter evenly therefore you got some areas have thick crust and some none. Pity the chicken itself would like a bit more moist, but it is alright, not bad. The amount is just right to go home with some rice and veggies will be a good amount for one. To sum up, uneven crust, lack in moist, good sauce.
I think the popularity is really the price point, not cheap for fried chicken, but cheap for Korean fried chicken....

This KFC, ooh boi ooh boi, it's a game-changer. It's so exquisitely delicious that it borders on being sinfully good. Every bite is a joyous occasion, so much so that it's emotionally overwhelming in the best way, literally making me cry out of joy. It's become a ritual; whenever I'm on the train passing through Utrecht, I find myself checking if there's time for a quick detour to indulge in this KFC heaven.
Without a doubt, this is the best KFC I've encountered in the Netherlands – a must-try for anyone in...
