🇺🇸|What’s Actually Fun in Miami?

Tbh, without a car or a big budget, Miami can be kinda boring… 😅 You can cover downtown in just one day: 📸 Vizcaya Museum & Gardens in the morning, 🏖️ the beach and Little Havana in the afternoon, 🍹 and bars at night. Staying at a nice resort might be more fun (but then why not just go to Cancún? 🤔). Just walking around the city felt a bit meh—low-key reminded me of Haikou or Sanya in China… The food was also… not it. 🇨🇺 Tried Versailles Restaurant—highly recommended on Xiaohongshu—but their ox tongue and oxtail were way too gamey 🐂💨, left my stomach churning till the next day. 🦞 Cajun Boil Brickell was okay, but the combo sauce tasted exactly like creamy turkey instant noodles 🍜, and with such strong seasoning, who could tell if the seafood was fresh? 🐊 The fried alligator tasted just like fish and chips—nothing special. 🍸 Cafe La Trova, a top 20 bar in North America, wasn’t worth it outside happy hour. Cocktails were $16–20 each 🍹, pretty average, but the live music and vibe were fun—bartenders and servers suddenly joining the performance! 🎺 Key West was definitely the highlight though! ⛴️ A peaceful, beautiful island. If you don’t drive, you can book a round-trip shuttle on Viator/TripAdvisor for $49 per person. Along the way, you see nothing but vacation villas and resorts 🏡—really made me feel like having money here would hit different. Renting a yacht, going out fishing every day… now that’s the life 🎣💸 #StudyAbroadLife #TropicalVibes #BeachLife #EscapeWinterFindSummer #Miami #MiamiTravel #FoodDiary #TravelUSA 🌴☀️🌊
