🇺🇸 | A Full Day of City Walk in Philadelphia 🚶
🏙️📸 🚄 Morning Train from NYC - Took the 9:30 AM Amtrak from NY Penn Station → arrived in Philly by 11 AM. 📍 Stops & Adventures City Hall / Love Park - Basically a straight walk from the station (*okay, maybe a few blocks’ detour… I wandered randomly lol* 🙊). - City Hall is stunning , but the sky was moody that day. ☁️ - From there, you can *actually see the Art Museum* in the distance! 🙂↕️ Lunch @ Dizengoff*🥙 - Tried Sabich Platter (a veggie-loaded Middle Eastern dish 🌿). - Overheard locals raving about their pita bread , so I took some to-go! 🥡 3️⃣ Market St. → 4️⃣ Liberty Bell & Independence Hall - Walked down Market St. —lined with shops & unique Philly streetscapes. - Liberty Bell & Hall had lines, but the free tour (9:15 AM–2:45 PM, every 30 mins) was worth it! Our guide, a lively grandpa, made history so engaging. 📖 Penn’s Landing ⚓ - Strolled through Old City (missed the artsy block—next time! 😭). - Ended at the waterfront but didn’t cross the bridge. Philadelphia Museum of Art 🖼️ - Pro tip: Open late on Fridays ( until 8 PM**)! - Took the subway (*sketchy vibe though—bus might’ve been safer + scenic*). - Walked 25 mins from City Hall, passing flag-lined boulevards & museums (*no time to stop… and then it rained!* 😭). - Highlights: Van Gogh (no *Sunflowers* here), Impressionists, and Sor Juana’s exhibit 🫡. 🚉 Amtrak Back to NYC - A 15-20 min walk from the museum along the Schuylkill River → straight to the station! 💡 Takeaways ✅ Philly = made for walking! Most sights are close. ✅ Free tours at historic sites = hidden gem. ✅ Art Museum Fridays = perfect for late explorers. ⚠️ Subway felt iffy—opt for buses/daytime transit. #StudyAbroad #CityWalk #Philadelphia #TravelUSA #ArtLover #UrbanAdventures #Wanderlust
