🇺🇸 【Irvine】Menya Hanabi 🍜

Lately, I’ve been eating alone a lot 🍚. And I’ve realized — ramen, Chongqing noodles, poke bowls, or malatang are perfect solo meals. It feels a little lonely, but there’s also something special about enjoying a meal with yourself 🥹💫 Tried this Japanese-style mazemen (broth-less ramen) spot in Irvine! It’s in the same plaza as HeyTea and 99 Ranch — and right across from Soma Tea 🧋… perfect for grabbing boba after your meal! The ramen here is seriously tasty!! I ordered the Deluxe Mazemen (which basically comes with an extra soft-boiled egg 🥚). The chashu pork is usually in thick slices, but you can opt for minced pork if you prefer. I stuck with the slices — but turns out the dish already comes with some minced meat too, so I got to try both! 😆 The noodles are topped with chives, lots of green onion, a big spoon of garlic paste, and white pepper. The flavor wasn’t overly salty — just right for me! I went right after they opened on a Wednesday noon. Not long after I sat down, the place filled up — there was even a line outside! 🔥 Right before I finished, the server kindly asked if I wanted free rice 🍚 — such great service!
