I love making detailed travel plans to ensure a perfect trip, but I also adore the little "accidents" that come with unexpected detours ✨ For example: Our original plan to watch the sunset along 17-Mile Drive had to be moved to the next morning due to a delayed departure. Then, we encountered a massive traffic jam in Carmel because of a spontaneous vintage car market 🚗💨—so we decided to explore the town instead! While searching for a restaurant, we stumbled upon a miniature Wonderland hidden in plain sight: Tiny fairy-tale scenes nestled in tree roots 🌳 Whimsical installations tucked into street corners 🧚 Miniature doors and surprises in garden bushes 🚪 Even a magical setup at someone’s doorstep! It reminded me of the dinky doors I hunted for in Cambridge last year.
