πΊπΈ Autumn Has Arrived in Salt Lake City! πβ¨
I never expected Salt Lake City to be this beautiful β the drive from Bryce Canyon all the way here was absolutely scenic the entire time. Utah has a population of just 3.4 million, mostly concentrated around the Salt Lake City area. The terrain is basin-like β high around the edges, low in the middle β with the Great Salt Lake at its lowest point. Nearby, youβll also find the expansive Utah Lake. Downtown has few high-rises; the city is mostly made up of one- or two-story houses π‘. There are plenty of parks, and just beyond the city lies a national park and countless hiking trails π₯Ύ. The mountains are visible right from the city, and in winter, this area becomes a famous ski destination β it even hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics! No wonder Utah is one of the fastest-growing states in the U.S. β itβs truly livable. We stayed in a townhouse at the foot of the mountains in Cottonwood Heights β complete with an outdoor hot tub! π With 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a spacious living room, it was super comfortable. The location was perfect: close to the highway and just 20 minutes from the airport. In the city, there are two Costco stores, a Chinese supermarket called Great Asian, and an American grocery chain Smithβs β perfect for stocking up before our Yellowstone trip. For dinner, we went to Happy Lamb Hot Pot π² β an all-you-can-eat seafood, beef, and lamb buffet for just $28.99 per person.
