Blue skies, golden architecture – this place is a dream! ☀️💛 🕚 Hours: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Closed Mondays) 🎫 Tickets: JHU students & faculty: FREE 🎓 General public: $12 Seniors, JHU alumni, Baltimore public school students, veterans: $10 ✨ Highlights: The gardens are stunning – lush green lawns, historic yellow mansion, perfect for photos! 📸🌳 Guided tours only inside (free; at 12:00 PM & 2:00 PM, ~1.5 hours). Our group had 7 people – very intimate! No photos allowed in the glass exhibit or library (but your eyes will feast!). Our guide was a sweet grandpa who’s been volunteering here for 10 years! He shared fascinating stories, though some details were tricky to catch for non-native listeners 🧏‍♀️🇺🇸. The mansion has many unique features: a bathroom with mirrors on three walls + ceiling (guess the owner loved their body 😂), servant quarters, and hidden staircases. Beautiful Tiffany glass and Chinese blue-and-white porcelain collections 🍶❤️. The staff thanked us warmly for visiting – such a kind touch! 🏛️ Why go? It’s a blend of art, history, and architecture – and a peaceful escape from the city.
