πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Baltimore Zoo Recommendation – Maryland Zoo! 🦁🐧

Finally found a fun and underrated spot in Baltimore – the Maryland Zoo! Here’s why it’s worth a visit: πŸ“ Location: Situated in Druid Hill Park, just west of JHU. I took a taxi to the park and walked to the zoo entrance. The park is quiet, green, and peaceful πŸŒ³πŸš–. 🎫 Tickets: Ages 2-64: $33 Under 2 & 65+: $28 No need to book online – easy to buy at the entrance! ⏰ Hours: Open 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM πŸ•™. I stayed from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and covered the whole zoo. It was almost empty – so relaxing! 🐧 Penguin Feeding: 10:30 AM & 3:30 PM – adorable crowd gathers around keepers! 🦁 Animals: Lots of variety: cheetahs, African penguins, otters, rhinos, gorillas, lemurs, and more! πŸ¦πŸ’ The exhibits are well-designed – you get super close to the animals. You can even walk into the bird sanctuary! 🦜 πŸ” Food: Fairly priced for a zoo! Two of us spent $26 on salad, fries, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and lemonade πŸ‹. Portions were huge (though taste is average – it fills you up!). πŸ‘΅ Staff & Facilities: Friendly staff + many sweet elderly volunteers sharing animal facts ❀️. Some areas are old (the zoo is nearly 150 years old!), and a few exhibits were under renovation or closed. πŸ† Adopt an Animal!: You can β€œadopt” an animal by donating ($100 for a cheetah!). You get a plush toy, certificate, and 2 free tickets! 🧸🎫 ⚠️ Tips: Take a car – some areas in Baltimore are unsafe, and public transport isn’t reliable. Bring your own water to save money πŸ’§. #ZooLife #Baltimore #MarylandZoo #TravelGuide #FamilyFun #AnimalLovers #SafeTravel #DMV #ExploreMaryland πŸ˜πŸ“Έ
