πΊπΈ Baltimore Zoo Recommendation β Maryland Zoo! π¦π§
Finally found a fun and underrated spot in Baltimore β the Maryland Zoo! Hereβs why itβs worth a visit: π Location: Situated in Druid Hill Park, just west of JHU. I took a taxi to the park and walked to the zoo entrance. The park is quiet, green, and peaceful π³π. π« Tickets: Ages 2-64: $33 Under 2 & 65+: $28 No need to book online β easy to buy at the entrance! β° Hours: Open 10:00 AM β 4:00 PM π. I stayed from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and covered the whole zoo. It was almost empty β so relaxing! π§ Penguin Feeding: 10:30 AM & 3:30 PM β adorable crowd gathers around keepers! π¦ Animals: Lots of variety: cheetahs, African penguins, otters, rhinos, gorillas, lemurs, and more! π¦π The exhibits are well-designed β you get super close to the animals. You can even walk into the bird sanctuary! π¦ π Food: Fairly priced for a zoo! Two of us spent $26 on salad, fries, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and lemonade π. Portions were huge (though taste is average β it fills you up!). π΅ Staff & Facilities: Friendly staff + many sweet elderly volunteers sharing animal facts β€οΈ. Some areas are old (the zoo is nearly 150 years old!), and a few exhibits were under renovation or closed. π Adopt an Animal!: You can βadoptβ an animal by donating ($100 for a cheetah!). You get a plush toy, certificate, and 2 free tickets! π§Έπ« β οΈ Tips: Take a car β some areas in Baltimore are unsafe, and public transport isnβt reliable. Bring your own water to save money π§. #ZooLife #Baltimore #MarylandZoo #TravelGuide #FamilyFun #AnimalLovers #SafeTravel #DMV #ExploreMaryland ππΈ
